There are two social networking sites which I have participated in the past few weeks. First, I created a facebook profile along with my wife and we posted pictures of our honeymoon and our recent trip to Disney World. It's a great way for me to reconnect with old friends from high school and look them up to see what became of them. Facebook is fun and I'd recommend it to anyone who's thinking about starting a profile.
The next website I use and have used in the past to post videos is YouTube. I play a Massive Online video game called World of Warcraft. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm one of the best players in the world (out of the 10 million players worldwide) and I've had many of my online friends request that I post videos of my secrets to success. In total I've accumulated 14 videos in different settings explaining any tricks/tactics that I use to keep ahead of the curve.
I also gave MySpace a try, but I found it too similar to Facebook and I enjoyed Facebook a lot more.
Feel free to comment!!

Article Reviews
Honestly, I'd rather discuss all the articles together rather then review them separately. The article that surprised me the most was the final article where bloggers worked together which ultimately led to the arrest of drugs users and the crackhouse they were living in. New Yorkers can sometimes be very independent and unfriendly to eachother, but I think blogging has helped people become more outgoing and willing to chat a little bit more. Walmart is single-handedly revolutionizing this country and the world. They are always a step ahead of the rest and I think that the fact that they allow buyers and people who work in their stores to comment on the product is amazing. What good does it do to keep that information to yourself? In the Influence on Blogosphere it was a bit boring, but it just goes to show you how many aspects of your life blogging has affected. I can relate somewhat to the Celebrity blog article. I'm a huge fan of basketball, and I visit NBA.com which is the official website of the National Basketball Association. Every day another player posts a blog and adds to it as the season goes on. It's fun to keep track of what my favorite players think and feel after winning a close game or even losing. The article spoke about getting celebrity news/photos as they happen...I don't really follow celebrity news, but for those that do I'm sure it's thrilling. The Power of Politics and blogs was a little drawn out, but there are many interesting points made to further the belief that blogs have changed the way that politics and the world is looked at.

New Media
Hi,
I'm currently enrolled in a course at Baruch College to teach me about new media. This is the first online course I've ever taken, and I'm excited to learn about this whole new world that I've never participated in as of yet.
I was reading an article in the New York Times recently about the attractiveness of online classes because of the rising cost of living and the cost of gas. Also, for someone like me who works full time, it gives me a chance to finish the rest of my credits in order to graduate.
Before I wrote this blog I was instructed by my professor to watch a youtube video (another form of new media) to teach me about blogging. It's very interesting how the News that was reported to us in the past was filtered out by only a handful of people. Now, with blogs and all forms of online networking it's possible to look up information that was never avilable to us in the past. You can even share this information with friends and your fellow bloggers.
Anyways, that's all for now...bye!
